Royal Belum International Hornbill Expedition 22-24 August 2025. Our signature annual event is back for our 10th official year.
Set amongst the lowland rainforest of Royal Belum State Park, Aman Jaya Forest Reserve, Temengor Forest Reserve and Temengor Lake, we will visit multiple sites to locate, observe, count and promote the sighting of possibly all 10 species of hornbills occurring in Malaysia, including the critically endangered Helmeted Hornbill (Rhinoplax vigil), regional migration of the vulnerable Plain-pouched Hornbills (Rhyticeros subruficollis).
